The Management Committee are the Governing Body and control the affairs of the Housing Association. The Associations rules allow for 15 members on the Management Committee. There are 7 vacancies at this time.

The Committee must ensure that it is in control of the Housing Association activities and retain a strategic overview of the activities and plans of the Association. Training is given to Committee to ensure members understand both the role of the Committee and the role of the staff and to ensure the Association complies with the law, Communities Scotland Guidance, and good practice.

The Management Committee meet at 6.30 pm on the last Tuesday of every month except in December where we have a recess. We have 3 Sub-Committees operating at the moment and Management Committee members can decide which ones (if any) they want to participate in too.

These are the Property Management Sub-Committee and they meet at 6.30 pm on the third Tuesday of ever month, except in December. They consider matters relating to rent and general maintenance of our properties. The Staffing & General Purposes Sub-Committee meet at 10.00 am on a Friday every quarter. They consider matters relating to staff terms and conditions and other general items such as the newsletter and special events. The LHO Sub-Committee meet at 6.30 pm on the second Tuesday of each month (except in July, where there is a recess). They consider matters relating to the second stage stock transfer from GHA to the Association and look after the budgets and statistical information relating to the LHO.
