CERNACH PLANS NEW HOMES IN GLASGOW - 17/08/2007

Cernach Housing Association is planning new homes in Glasgow, it has announced in its Annual Report 2006-2007.

The association has received approval to build new homes on a cleared site at Airgold Drive, Glasgow.

The new homes will be provided for Glasgow Housing Association tenants who have been displaced as a consequence of the demolition and clearance in Drumchapel.

Development activity will concentrate on developing and progressing designs for the new build housing project on the site.

Cernach's Chairperson, Susan McDonald wrote in her statement: "We are aiming for a site start in January 2008.

"Therefore, this year will be spent progressing detailed designs, cost plans and the tender application to Glasgow City Council for these new homes."
